Air Quality Information

NCS AQI RESPONSE

During wildfire season Natomas Charter School closely monitors our local air quality and will made adjustments to campus operations based on the Forecast and Current "Live" AQI.

Forecast AQI for the Sacramento region can be found on the Spare the Air website. The school uses the sensors to the right for the Current "Live" AQI.

To the greatest extent possible, Natomas Charter School will always work to keep campuses open and move student activities indoors. Students and staff who are sensitive to wildfire smoke or other air quality issues should be prepared to implement their asthma plan as needed.

For decisions regarding modifications in on-campus activities Natomas Charter School follows the Air Quality Action Charts from the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District.

Community Air Quality Sensors

Natomas Charter School maintains three live air quality sensors on each of our campuses. These tools are used to help staff and students understand the current air quality conditions, as well as to provide a community resource for those living near our campuses. The current feeds for each of these sensors can be found to the right or by clicking on the links below.
