We are proud to announce that Natomas Charter School’s Performing and Fine Arts Academy (PFAA), Early College Academy (ECA), and Leading Edge Academy will participate in the 2025 Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day on Friday, November 14th, 2025.
On November 14, 1960, six-year-old Ruby Bridges made history as the first African American student to integrate the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans. Escorted by federal marshals through a hostile crowd, Ruby’s bravery and determination became a defining moment in the Civil Rights Movement. Today, Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day honors her courageous act and encourages meaningful conversations about racial justice, courage, and anti-bullying.
