Should You Take the SAT or ACT?

Both the ACT and the current SAT are nationally administered standardized tests that help colleges evaluate candidates. All schools accept either test interchangably. So as you begin to think about college and creating the best application package possible, your admissions plan should begin with the question, "Which test should I take?

Kaplan and Natomas Charter School are proud to work together to pave the path to your child's success. A strong SAT and/or ACT score can open doors to more colleges and scholarships. 

 

Sacramento Public Library

The Sacramento Public Library Testing and Education Reference Center offers free online SAT (PSAT, ACT) test practice.  It can be accessed outside of the library with a library card or ecard and PIN.  (It also has practice AP tests.  Please keep that in mind for spring.)  Access the database at www.saclibrary.org > Research > Students K-12 > Testing and Education Reference.

 

Khan Academy Test Prep Resources

Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. We tackle math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more. Our math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. We've also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content.
