“The Landing” Leadership Camp daily schedule is as follows:

9:15AM- Rotation #1 (Enrichment)

10:15AM- Snack & Group Discussions

11:00AM- Rotation #2 (Large Group Game or Sport)

12:30PM- LUNCH

1:15PM- Teen Choice (Activity) 

2:15PM- Daily Lesson of the Day (TED Talk) 

2:45PM- DIY Project/ Craft/ Science Projects

3:45PM- Snack

4:00PM- Teen Choice (Game/ Sport/ Drama)

4:45PM- Clean-Up/ Small group game

5:00PM-Camp Ends

Leadership Summer Camp/ CIT Program

For those entering 6th grade through 9th grade

This camp is designed to be different from your everyday summer camp program and will be developed to meet the needs of the Natomas Charter School community. The Landing Leadership camp gives the older child a sense of freedom as well as positive activities that enhance the mind as well as opportunities to recreate and be themselves. The Natomas Charter School is goal is to maintain a high level of quality enrichment programming through careful planning, qualified staff, and intense safety training.

 

General Camp Information: 

  • Campers participate in a variety of activities including sports, arts & crafts, games, and water activities.
  • Occasionally, there will be camp-wide activities and contests that fit the weekly theme.
  • Campers are supervised always by camp staff while in their age groups* or camp-wide.
  • Field trip days will be Tuesdays and Thursdays for The Landing Leadership Summer Camp. **FIELD TRIPS WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.**
  • Payment is due by 5 pm on Thursday before your child is scheduled to come to camp. 

 

Registration & Cost: 

  • $30 registration fee due at the time you pay for your first week of camp  
  • $175 per week 
  • $150 for the week of June 29th to July 3rd ONLY
  • You may register for a single-week session only. 

  • To register, you must download and complete the registration packet and send it to Rashad Williams at rwilliams@natomascharter.org. You will have until Thursday at 5 pm to pay in full for the week upcoming. We will not hold spaces without payment and may decline registration for safety reasons if the Staff/Camper ratio has reached its maximum.

  • Payment for "The Landing" Leadership Summer Camp must be paid to the business office located at 4600 Blackrock Drive, Sacramento, CA 95835. Payments must also be made in Check, Cashier Checks, or Cash.

Weekly Theme schedule for summer camp

*New* Counselor in Training Programsummer 2020

Do you have a teen who likes working with kids? Maybe they need service hours for high school? Interested in an opportunity to apply for a job once your teen is of age? We have the perfect program for you! The Before and After School Department at Natomas Charter School will be taking applications for its first-ever Counselor In Training program. Teens ages 15 to 17 or entering 10th grade to 12th grade can apply for this life-changing program. 

 

COST: $55/ Week

  • Once selected, you will have the opportunity to select the weeks you would like to participate. You may choose to do 1 or 2 weeks, or the entire summer. The NCS policy regarding discounts is in effect for this program as well. Please see the application for more details.
