Ms. Bauman

Hello parents and students! I am eager to be working with all of you and helping you to meet your educational goals! Allow me to give you some information about who I am and of some of my experiences.

I began my teaching career teaching middle school science and 6th grade math at a Christian school in Florida. I taught there for 2 years before moving back to California to earn my teaching credential here. I have also taught Biology at Rocklin High School, as well as Physical/Earth Science for El Dorado High School’s summer school program. I also have my Masters in Education degree.

I am a native of California, born and raised in Granite Bay. I graduated from Oakmont High School in Roseville, CA. I earned my B.S. degree in Health Science at San Francisco State University, with an emphasis in maternal and child health. I fulfilled an internship at San Francisco General Hospital.

After earning my bachelor’s degree, I flew as a flight attendant for four + years for an airline that provides primarily charter service, with some scheduled service routes. I flew many military troop movements to places such as Saudi Arabia, Korea, Japan, Bosnia, the Philippines, Germany, Australia, etc. I also flew the Anaheim Might Ducks, the Toronto Blue Jays, Ashford and Simpson (for those of us who know their music!), and other high-profile clientele. Through this experience, I gained an invaluable knowledge of world cultures and am glad I had this opportunity.

Other interesting facts you may enjoy knowing about me is that I have sung and performed for a Michael Jackson short film, entitled “Cry”. I also am proficient in American Sign Language and was an interpreter on many of my flights.

Feel free to contact me any time you have questions regarding your student’s progress!
