ILP is a modified independent study program that serves students in grades 9-12. This small school setting offers students independence and a flexible schooling schedule with structured support and educational resources. The key to success in ILP is student motivation. This educational opportunity allows students to take charge of their education, learn organization, and time management skills that help prepare them for their future. Students choose from three academic pathways to assist them in planning for and attaining their post-high school goals.

Students meet weekly one-on-one with a credentialed teacher to cover assignments in all of their subjects; this is a time for explanation of new topics for the new week’s assignments as well as a chance to review concepts from the previous week’s assignments. Students are required to attend workshops on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis in core academic and some elective courses. These workshops are designed to place the student in a group setting and to develop and supplement the skill base learned independently for those courses. ILP students can work independently at home or on campus and gain access to computers, books, videos, and teacher assistance in the Learning Center. The Learning Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Each teacher offers one hour of tutoring a week to assist students in mastering the curriculum and completing coursework. ILP also provides social activities that align with student interests and needs. To learn more about ILP read our mission and vision statements.
